CAFE offers employment services for Far Eastside residents looking to enter the workforce, seeking new employment or considering a career change. Our Career Coach is highly skilled to help clients find the right job or advance their career. We have a large network of employers with whom we interact and place job seekers. Our Career Coach can assist with the following services:

Great Families
Great Families is a 2Gen program opportunity for families, focused on parents and children simultaneously with the purpose of providing pathways for their success and stability through education, financial security, and overall health.
Once enrolled families will receive:
- Family Support Coach meets with the parents to discuss overall family needs such as health, education, and referral to additional community supports.
- Student Success Coach meets with the students for tutoring and other learning opportunities.
- Financial Coach meets with the parent one-on-one to discuss things such as budgeting, credit building, and saving.
Core Components
CAFE will provide key components of 2Gen services for families related to education, securing and maintaining employment, health, and wellbeing, community engagement, and identifying and acquiring assets to encourage upward mobility including:
- Bundled services: Employment assistance, financial coaching, income supports, basic education, and language learning based on each individual’s needs.
- Family goal setting: Once a family is enrolled in the program, our coaches will work with them to establish goals specific to their needs.
- Student education: Children will have access to additional educational tools and support in conjunction with participating school curriculum.
Do I Qualify?
To qualify for the program, one of your children must be between Kindergarten and 8th grade and attend one of the following partner schools:

Great Families also has additional programs for youth to participate in throughout the year.
The After School Program is open to 2nd- 8th graders, Monday-Thursday from 4pm-6:30pm. There are HBCU virtual tutors to assist with various subject levels. There are also educational activities, STEM workshops, group mentoring and field trips. We also collaborate with other youth serving partners to create an enriched experience.
Teen Nights are the 3rd Friday of each month from 5pm-7pm at CAFE. There are various workshops, college bound experiences, group discussions, field trips, and group mentoring for teens to benefit from.
STEM Camp is a week-long experience where students learn about STEM careers and participate in STEM activities and projects. The camp consists of multiple field trips and a celebratory trip to Kings Island at the end of the week-long experience.
There are two sessions and each session has 20 slots. 3rd through 5th graders are in June and 6th through 8th graders are in July. There is a $25 enrollment fee for each participant. However there is a fee waiver if needed.
Career Pathways
CAFE assists clients in their search for long-term sustainable careers. Clients will have access to industry recognized training, certifications, and post-secondary opportunities that will create a clear pathway to obtain a career that will provide stability and growth. Our Career Pathway coach also assists with removing barriers that might impact their employment growth and success.
